Great course, easy to use

I just finished the 15-hour IRS Continuing Education Package and it was fantastic! The content was super clear and the platform was so easy to navigate. I learned a lot. I'm definitely coming back next year for my CE. Will tell my colleagues about it!

Good content, minor issue

I bought the Annual Federal Tax Refresher Course last month. The ordering process was straightforward on the website, pretty standard. Delivery was instant since it's an online course, which is great for getting started right away. The course content itself was thorough and helped me a lot with the AFTR exam, definitely covered all the bases. I had one question about a specific tax scenario during a module, and I used their support feature. It took them about a day and a half to get back to me, which was a little longer than I hoped, but the answer was helpful once it came. The usability of the course platform on my tablet was good, no technical glitches at all. I got my certificate of completion immediately after passing the final exam.

Consistently reliable CE

I've used TaxCE for my Enrolled Agent Continuing Education for a few years now. This time I picked up the Federal Tax Law Update and it was just as solid as always. The material is always up-to-date, and I can count on them to report my hours quickly to the IRS. It's why I keep returning, no surprises.

How long do I actually have to finish a course once I buy it? I don't want it to expire on me.

O Olivia Lopez 2 days ago
From what I remember, you get a good amount of time, like a year or something. I bought mine and took my sweet time.

I think it's a full year from purchase, but don't quote me on that. It's plenty of time though.

Are their courses actually IRS-approved? Don't want to waste my money.

M Mary Rivera 1 month ago
They are, yes. They're an authorized provider. That's why I use them.

Totally legit. It says it right there on their site too. They're on the IRS list.

Thinking of getting a group discount for my firm. How many people do you need for that usually?

K Karen J. 1 month ago
I think they have options for firms. Best to probably just reach out to them directly and ask about their group rates.

Couldn't hurt to ask. I've heard of firms getting discounts for multiple users, but no idea what the minimum is.

I'm looking for the 60-hour pre-license course. Is that something they offer?

N Nick Adams 4 days ago
Yeah, they have that. I saw it when I was looking through their stuff for my CE hours. It's under their pre-license training section.

They definitely do. Check out the 'Pre-License Training' menu on their site.

Hey, I'm trying to decide between TaxCE and WebCE for my EA credits. Any thoughts on which one is better?

R Robert Evans 4 days ago
I used TaxCE last year and found their courses pretty straightforward. WebCE is good too, but I think TaxCE felt a bit more tailored for EAs.

Both are legit. I've used TaxCE for a few years now, no complaints. The content is solid and they report to the IRS pretty fast, at least in my experience.

Do these courses count for California CTEC credits? Need to make sure before I sign up.

L Laura Jackson 2 weeks ago
Yep, they do. I just finished my CTEC renewal hours through them. They have specific courses listed for CA.

Pretty sure they cover CTEC. Always double check the course description though, just to be safe!

Can I do these courses on my iPad? Or do I need to be on a desktop?

A Alex Gomez 1 month ago
Yeah, I've done most of mine on my tablet. The website is pretty mobile-friendly.

Works fine on mobile. I usually use my laptop but I've jumped on my phone for a quick session when I'm out.

Anyone know if there's usually a Black Friday sale for the EA bundles? Trying to plan my purchase.

C Carol Davis 3 weeks ago
Yeah, I remember seeing something around then last year. They usually have some good deals on their bigger packages in Nov/Dec, so keep an eye out.

S Susan Williams 3 weeks ago
They often do early bird stuff too for the new year, so Black Friday or around that time is a good bet for discounts.
